‘Need a shipping tsar’: The latest development in the Strait of Hormuz
Iran appears to have closed the Strait of Hormuz again, claiming Israel has breached the ceasefire agreement by continuing to strike Lebanon.
Shipping lawyer at Cusack and Co, Alison Cusack, told Jimmy Bartel and Mark Allen, filling in for Ross and Russ, “we always knew the ceasefire would be shaky”.

Cusack said even if the Strait of Hormuz was fully reopened again today, there would still be shipping and supply delays.
“Anywhere from four weeks onwards is what the lag time is … those ships would still need to get permission from owners, from insurers, they need to refuel their own ships to then get underway, so it’s not as simple as turning everything back on immediately,” she said.
