Neil Mitchell has clashed with the City of Melbourne over the council’s unanimous support of the Indigenous Voice to Parliament.

Neil Mitchell challenged Deputy Lord Mayor Nicholas Reece on Wednesday, saying the council couldn’t possibly know what it was supporting at present.

Cr Reece said they were supporting a “principle” and the “technical wording” of the question on the upcoming referendum was a “red herring” being used to “confuse and scare” Australians.

That didn’t go down well with the host of 3AW Mornings.
