Neil Mitchell and Eddie McGuire have locked horns over sponsorship in sport.

It comes with the issue flung firmly into the spotlight after Australia’s netballers and Test cricket captain Pat Cummins pushed back against multi-million dollar sponsorship deals involving the national teams due to their own personal concerns about the deals.

McGuire, who oversaw an array of sponsorship negotiations while president of Collingwood in the AFL, said it was becoming an increasingly troublesome issue.
