Western Bulldogs president Peter Gordon says he wants to sit down with North Melbourne ‘immediately’ to work out how next year’s first Good Friday game can support the Royal Children’s hospital appeal.

The Roos and Bulldogs will face-off in the inaugural match at 4.20pm.

Neil Mitchell isn’t a fan of the idea, but said now a decision had been, as much as possible needed to be done to raise money for the Good Friday Appeal.

‘If we’re going to have it, let’s use it, exploit it, to raise money,’ he said.

Peter Gordon agreed.

‘We understand the onus is on us to demonstrate that we can make good use of it,’ he said on 3AW Mornings.

‘I’m really keen to sit down with North Melbourne Melbourne immediately.’
