Neil Mitchell blasts Paul Keating for ‘bitter, nasty’ outburst

Neil Mitchell has blasted Paul Keating over his “bitter and nasty” comments at the Press Club on Wednesday afternoon.

The former prime minister blasted journalist Matthew Knott, who asked him if his criticism of the AUKUS sub deal represents a “fundamental rupture” within the Labor Party.

“Bitter bile gets attention but it loses arguments,” the 3AW Mornings host said. “He says he’s got a brain … well he’s got to use it occasionally.”
