Neil Mitchell calls out ‘sickening’ response to Alice Springs crisis
Neil Mitchell says it’s “sickening” to see politicians “playing politics” over the crisis unfolding in Alice Springs.
The 3AW Mornings host took aim at a comment made by Anthony Albanese as he announced new alcohol restrictions in Alice Springs yesterday.
“The former government left a whole lot of zombie saves in the budget, a whole lot of programs that just end at the end of this financial year,” Mr Albanese said.
“I don’t care who is to blame. They’re playing politics — fix it!,” the 3AW Mornings host said.

“This is happening in Australia, our own country, the heart of our country — and they’re talking politics! It’s sickening.
“If this was happening somewhere else we’d be sending in aid, World Vision would be there. Instead we’re tiptoeing, we’re talking about whether it’s discriminatory to ban alcohol.”
