Neil Mitchell clashes with Greens MP over rent freeze proposal

Neil Mitchell has clashed with Federal Greens MP Max Chandler-Mather over the Greens’ proposal for a two-year freeze on rent increases.

Mr Chandler-Mather stated how rent has gone up six times faster than wages over the last 12 months and is “not sustainable to have unlimited rent increases”.

The 3AW Mornings host had a different view, wanting to find a balance in the situation, and “you don’t get a balance by screwing people who own rental properties”.
