Neil Mitchell crosses live from Ten Minutes By Tractor restaurant fire

Fire has engulfed one of the Mornington Peninsula’s most popular restaurants.

Lunchtime diners had to flee when Ten Minutes By Tractor at Main Ridge went up in flames about 3.30pm Sunday.

It’s understood a shed or store room went up in flames, but the cause is unclear.

3AW presenter Neil Mitchell saw the drama unfold, and called into Grubby and Dee Dee’s Weekend Break with a live report from the scene.

“There a massive amount of smoke,” he said.

“I got as close as I could and the front of the building is just totally ablaze.”
