Neil Mitchell thinks the Optus data breach and poor handling of the hack may mean the end of the telecommunications company.

“The stuff you approach continues from federal government, and the state government, and Optus,” the 3AW Mornings host said.

“You are being treated appallingly here. They have bungled the whole thing, they’ve made it worse and we could have a third of the population in some sort of strife — 10 million people!”

“I think Optus is finished,” Neil Mitchell said. “They’ve allowed our details to be hacked and they’ve mucked up the response.

“This is like the captain on the titanic who should have seen the iceberg coming and didn’t!

“It may well sink Optus and so it should.

“They’ll dump their teary executive, and so they should, but I don’t think it’ll end there.”
