Neil Mitchell gets details of second attack at Malmsbury

Another guard has been attacked at Malmsbury Youth Detention Centre.

Neil Mitchell has heard details of an unprovoked attack on a male guard on Saturday night.

The guard was working in the admissions unit at Malmsbury when he was repeatedly punched in the face.

He was taken to hospital, but has since been released without serious injury.

It follows the news of an attack at Malmsbury which left a woman unconscious late last week.

Neil said he fears the situation at the centre could “blow up”.

“There’s a bad feel to this,” Neil said.
