Neil Mitchell grills Federal Treasurer over superannuation changes
Federal Treasurer Jim Chalmers insists he’s “not proposing and not contemplating major changes” to the superannuation scheme, despite questioning the sustainability of the superannuation concession scheme earlier this week.
Speaking to Neil Mitchell, Mr Chalmers said the government “haven’t made any decisions”.

NEIL MITCHELL: “Are there likely to be changes to the superannuation system in the budget?”
JIM CHALMERS: “Well it’s not determined yet … I raised it deliberately because I am concerned about the cost of these things.”
But Mr Chalmers insist any changes wouldn’t be “major”.
“We’re … not contemplating major changes to the system,” he said.
