Victorian Treasurer Tim Pallas says a new $2.5m campaign will create 2,000 jobs.

The campaign aims to encourage business investment in the state with the the slogan ‘Victoria – a state of momentum’.

The ads highlight and compliment major companies, such as Go Pro and Swisse, which have moved to Melbourne, but the companies do not pay for the endorsement.

Mr Pallas told Neil Mitchell it’s all part of a bigger picture.

‘It’s about sending out message to the world and bringing the world to Victoria,’ he said.

‘Our expectation is that this will create over 2,000 jobs.’

In a wide-ranging interview, Mr Pallas also spoke about the CFA bargaining agreement, the Uber levy, and more.

Mr Pallas said the government and the CFA have come to an agreement on the cost of the agreement, despite new CFA chief Frances Diver saying the opposite.

On the Uber levy, Mr Pallas said it was a ‘good policy outcome’.
