Neil Mitchell interviews WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange

Julian Assange is attempting to raise funds for his controversial company, WikiLeaks.

In a rare and wide-ranging interview from his home in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, Assange tells 3AW’s Neil Mitchell it’s hard to earn a living when you’ve been trapped for five years.

  • Assange says having Donald Trump as the US President is ‘amazing’ and ‘every day is like Christmas’.
  • Assange believes there will be further world conflict.
  • Neil asked Assange if he accepts that his leaks have cost the lives of operatives; Assange says it is all ‘complete rubbish’.
  • Assange told 3AW Mornings he doesn’t like being second to Rupert Murdoch as one of Australia’s most influential people.

Julian Assange is speaking at 7pm on Sunday at the Melbourne Town Hall by Video Link.
