Neil Mitchell proposes machete ban in Victoria

Neil Mitchell says Victoria’s machete laws need considerable tightening, and he isn’t against them being outlawed completely.

It comes with growing concerns about machetes being used to commit crime in Victoria.

“I don’t reckon we need these damn things,” Neil Mitchell said on Wednesday. “They are weapons of war for young thugs.”

He questioned whether there was “really a legitimate need” for them to be readily available.
