Neil Mitchell reveals TAC’s TV ad spend has been slashed

The TAC has slashed its famous TV advertisements as the road toll rises.

Figures obtained by the Neil Mitchell program show funding has fallen by 23 per cent over the past three years (from $21m to $15.94m).

‘I believe they’re cutting some sponsorship as well, and some at TAC aren’t happy about it,’ Neil said.

In response, the TAC’s Joe Calafiore told Neil Mitchell the funding was likely to be boosted ‘in the vicinity’ of 10 per cent this year, after a period of focus on social media.
