Neil Mitchell reveals the states new Road Safety Camera Commissioner

3AW Mornings host Neil Mitchell unveiled Victoria’s new Road Safety Camera Commissioner, John Voyage.

The retired solicitor replaces Gordon Lewis who has played the role since 2012.

Neil brought up the fact some people see traffic cameras as revenue raisers not safety tools.

The new commissioner says – ‘They are completely wrong, rather than revenue raisers I think they are revenue savers’ –

‘People knowing that there is a risk of being caught have monitored the way they drive and have driven in a more cautious fashion.’

Commissioner Voyage has also accepted Neil’s offer to feature on his show more regularly to take your calls.
