Neil Mitchell says government must act on hospital protesters

Neil Mitchell says Daniel Andrews must implement protest exclusion zones outside hospitals to combat anti-vaxxers, rejecting claims from government the ugly scenes outside the entrances of the Royal Children’s Hospital, Royal Melbourne Hospital and Royal Women’s Hospital on Saturday as a “once off” event.

Dr Stephen Parnis first pushed for the exclusion zones on 3AW on Monday.

“The state government must address it,” Neil Mitchell said.

The 3AW Mornings host highlighted previous protests at other hospitals to prove his point.

“This was not a one-off,” he said.

“It has happened before, it will continue – they are already promising that.”
