Neil Mitchell says negative perceptions about Shane Watson are ‘wrong’

Neil Mitchell has questioned negative perceptions of Shane Watson.

The 3AW Mornings spent the past few days working with the former Australian cricket star at a cure MND fundraiser.

Watson was often criticised throughout his career for his behaviour and influence in the dressing room.

‘I found Shane Watson to be one of the most down-to-earth, polite, pleasant and reasonable sportspeople I’ve ever dealt with,’ he said.

‘He was a delight to deal with and that’s not the impression you get from him with his history and body language.

‘It just shows you wrong you can be.’
