Neil Mitchell says volunteer firefighters have been ‘dudded’ by ‘mad dog’ union
Neil Mitchell says Victoria’s volunteer firefighters have been ‘dudded’ by a proposed EBA and your safety could be at risk because of it.
The state’s firefighting services are engulfed in crisis, with the CFA set to reject recommendations from the Fair Work Commission.
Volunteers have already begun resigning from the CFA over the issue and that problem is only set to get worse.
Premier Daniel Andrews appears to be at loggerheads with his own minister over the issue.
Neil Mitchell said Victorians should be concerned.
‘The volunteers have been dudded and are being further undermined by what I believe to be a mad dog union ? the United Firefighters Union ? and their mates in government ? Daniel Andrews,’ the 3AW Mornings host said.
‘The potential result of this is a threat to victoria’s safety and a cost of hundreds of millions to taxpayers.
‘We’re talking about the very future of the CFA – millions of dollars and community safety – but the minister can’t talk because of this political brawl.’
