3AW Mornings has been sent footage of what appears to be a new crime tactic on Melbourne’s streets.

A woman has been caught on camera testing her luck on a ute parked in the driveway of a home.

She runs across the road to another property when that fails.

Neil Mitchell has been told the woman was running from house to house, checking to see if cars were open.

If they were, she’d grab the contents inside and then dump the stolen goods on the front lawn.

A car then drove down the street and picked up what was stolen.

Jonathon captured some of the action on his CCTV camera at home at Craigieburn.

‘This went on for about 10 minutes from what my cameras picked up,’ he explained.
