Neil Mitchell slams RRR’s secret ban of the Anglican Church

Neil Mitchell has hit out at RRR’s decision to ban the Anglican Church.

RRR first took issue with the Church’s $1m donation to the “No” campaign in the same-sex marriage debate.

Now, a leaked internal email from the community radio station says they won’t broadcast from the Melbourne Music Week Hub this year because it is based at St Paul’s Cathedral.

And the station manager made it clear the ban was not to be made public.

Neil said the retribution is “offensive”.

“I think that is wrong,” Neil said on Monday.

“This is a community station, sponsored and supported by listeners, and they’re doing this secret business behind their back.

“If they really believe it is right, why keep it secret?”
