You’ll struggle to meet a more dedicated Western Bulldogs fan this week than David Chapman.

The Aussie ex-pat, based in Algeria, spent 35 hours on four different planes ? with nothing but carry-on luggage ? to return home for Saturday’s preliminary final.

He’s convinced his AFL-illiterate boss back in the Sahara Desert to let him stay for the grand final.

‘He was just stunned and bewildered by it all,’ Dave told Neil Mitchell.

‘I jumped on YouTube and showed him some Jake Stringer highlights and he was like OK.’
