Incoming Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull will need to get Victorians on side to win the election, Neil Mitchell says.
‘Malcolm Turnbull is very Sydney,’ he said.
‘Victoria is one of the reasons Tony Abbott was dumped.
‘Tony Abbott was seen to be electoral poison in Victoria, Malcolm Turnbull needs Victoria and South Australia in particular.
‘He’s going to have to come to Victoria, he’ll have to negotiate with, I hope, the Andrews government to kick in some money to get them building things we need in Victoria.’
