Pizza shop owners across Melbourne have highlighted the soaring cost of making a pizza.

Oz runs a pizza shop and told Neil Mitchell he hadn’t paid himself in a year.
Johnny Di Francesco owns 400 Gradi and said they’d raised their prices roughly 20 per cent since the pandemic hit, but their own production costs had soared as much as 200 per cent.
The cost of ingredients such as flour, tomato and cheese have doubled, while the cost of gas and electricity, and even wood, has also soared.
“It’s very, very difficult,” he said.
