Neil Mitchell’s plea to Daniel Andrews

Neil Mitchell has called on Daniel Andrews to face questions today about a damning report that found 33 Victorians died after waiting too long for an ambulance.

The government chose to release the ESTA report on Saturday, a move that has drawn heavy criticism.

“This release on Saturday was a grubby piece of politics,” he said.

“This report shows horrendous failures of a system that just couldn’t cope with the pressure.

“The Saturday release was designed to reduce the impact and hope it would be old news by today.

“Well, I don’t accept it’s old news.”
