In the Herald Sun today, doctors at The Alfred have warned of a continuing crisis at the hospital. It comes after The Alfred’s director of trauma service, Professor Mark Fitzgerald, last year warned the hospital was in urgent need of funding and attention.

“It’s a continuing crisis of care at The Alfred Hospital and as of now there is no plan on what to do about it,” Neil Mitchell said.

The 3AW Mornings host says Professor Fitzgerald has “heard not one thing from the state government”, despite speaking out four months ago.
