New $53 million government plan teaching children about suicide awareness
Children as young as three are to be be taught about suicide awareness and mental health.
The $53 million federal government plan is set to be announced on Thursday by Health Minister Greg Hunt, with the youth suicide rate at a ten year high.
Newscorp reports preschoolers through to Year 12 students will be targeted.
Beyond Blue, Early Childhood Australia and Headspace will assist in running the program.
