Chinese tour groups will now be able to resume operating in Australia following a three year ban by the Chinese government.

The move has been welcomed by Australian tourism operators, with group tours making up “30 to 40 per cent” of the Chinese market.

Chief Executive Officer of the Tourism & Transport Forum, Margy Osmond, says “I think tourism operators are going to be incredibly pleased to see more Chinese visitors back”.
