New data reveals more and more people are prepared to spend up to 4 hours a day getting to and from work.

They’re being dubbed the new breed of ‘extreme commuters’.

Jumping on a train early in the morning in places like Ballarat, Torquay,Warragul and in many cases beyond is becoming the norm.

More and more people ditch living in Melbourne for the country but still choose to work in the city.

There are many more who drive in some cases a round trip that can take up to 4 hours.

Back in 2011, regional Victorians commuting to Melbourne grew by 19,000.
