New drone technology shows extent of illegal dumping in Melbourne

New drone vision shows illegal dumping along train lines in Melbourne’s west.

Evidence gathered by the EPA shows piles of rubbish illegally left alongside the Werribee train line.

The drone also flew over the Stawell tyre stockpile, where the EPA estimates there are one million tyres at the property.

The same technology will be used over summer to assist in testing swimming conditions in Melbourne’s bays.
