New footage settles 1979 VFL Final debate

New footage from the contentious VFL Grand Final has emerged that settles the debate on whether the ball that Wayne Harmes knocked to win the final was in or out.
Former Footballer Wayne Harmes told Tom Elliott that he felt like he was on an episode of Mythbusters.
“I saw a photo come out probably about a month ago, and I thought ‘Well I wonder if this has been doctored or not,'” Mr Harmes said.

So um …. when ABC also televised 1979 GF, their camera was tighter and ever-so-slightly to the right of Ch7s.
That means Harmes doesn’t obscure the ball as much on their version.
