New law to be introduced to block second Russian embassy next to Parliament House

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese says a proposed second Russian embassy on land neighbouring federal parliament is a threat to national security.

A new law will be introduced to parliament to cancel a lease agreement between the National Capital Authority and the Russian Federation.

Anthony Albanese says the land is directly adjacent to Parliament House in Canberra.
