New legislation to catch ‘bad apples’ at council level
The Government says new legislation introduced today will make it easier for them to catch the ‘bad apples’ at council level.
Natalie Hutchins, Minister for Local Government, told Tom Elliott the current system involved too much red tape and made it hard to catch and punish those abusing their privilege.
‘Unfortunately there are a few bad apples around in councils,’ she said on 3AW Drive.
