New push to ban junk food from schools and introduce a sugar tax
The push to ban junk food from schools and sports venue has gained even more momentum.
The state and federal governments are considering a 47-point plan, in a bid to tackle obesity.
The plan also includes the introduction of a sugar tax.
Gary Sacks from Deakin University said they were low cost solutions.
‘It’s really important for their to be a national action plan,’ he said.
