New report reveals Victoria’s electricity reliant future

A new report has revealed 51 trends emerging in Victorians’ energy needs, led by a shift in lifestyle.

General manager at CitiPower and Powercor, Renate Vogt, says Victorians will become more reliant on electricity, with a predicted rise in electric vehicle ownership and already increasing home energy needs.

“There’s also going to be a shift towards electrification driven by already a take up of induction cooktops and electric cooking devices,” she said.
