New report says Australians have become less generous when it comes to charity

A new report says Australians are becoming less generous with their money when it comes to charity.

But Tom Elliott has rejected that principle, saying we’ve become smarter and rightfully more cynical with how it’s being spent.

Tim Costello is chairman of the Community Council of Australia, which released the report called ‘The Australia We Want.’

He debated the issue with Tom Elliott on Thursday.
