New rules to curb youth vaping welcomed by experts
New rules which seek to crack down on illegal access to vapes seeks to curb the rise in youth smoking.
CEO of Tobacco Free Portfolios, Dr Bronwyn King, says the evidence is really clear — vapes are absolutely addictive and are not safe for inhalation.
“We know that nicotine is ubiquitously found in vaping products, regardless if there’s a label to that effect or not. Studies have shown that, yes, they contain nicotine and it’s in extremely high amounts and nicotine is well known as one of the most addictive substances to human beings,” she told Elise Elliott.
