Ever offer your child tips and advice after they’ve played sport?

Well, turns out you could be doing more harm than good.

A new study has found even well-intentioned advice can ‘promote levels of anxiety and stress’ in the child.

‘It’s not to say that we shouldn’t be saying good things or constructive criticisms at all, it’s about finding the right way to open that conversation,’ Dr Sam Elliott told 3AW Mornings.
