The battle for secretary-general of the UN looks to be down to ex PM Kevin Rudd and New Zealands Helen Clark.

Kevin Rudd is ‘dribbling’ for the gig, but Neil Mitchell doesn’t back him.

New Zealand radio and television broadcaster Paul Henry has very strong views on Rudd, saying ? ‘What a diabolically bad candidate he would be’.

When New Zealand Political reporter Patrick Gower was asked his opinion, he simply stated – ‘I don’t want to waste my breathe on Kevin Rudd.’

Helen Clark is already head of the UN development program.

Neil believes Helen is the best candidate – ‘Australia as a country should support Helen Clark’s candidacy.’
