Nick Carr tells Tom Elliott why the phrase ‘y’know’ should be eradicated
A Richmond man has written to The Age to protest the prevalence of the term ‘y’know’.
Nick Carr later told Tom Elliott the danger of this new colloquialism.
‘It’s a filler, which, to me, is a sign of sloppy thinking,’ he said.
‘The way we speak does change how we think.’
