Nick Kyrgios out of Wimbledon on eve of tournament

Nick Kyrgios has made a shock announcement on the eve of Wimbledon.

The runner-up at last year’s tournament has withdrawn, citing a wrist injury.

It comes just hours after the Aussie claimed he was feeling extremely confident about the tournament.

“Yeah it’s a shock, but am I completely shocked? No, not really,” Nine News reporter at Wimbledon, Tony Jones, told Jimmy Bartel and Mark Allen, filling in for Ross and Russel.

“You can’t go into something like this with one professional match under your belt since last October.”
