Investigative journalist Nick McKenzie has shed light on the alleged corruption happening on the North East Link project.

A former soldier has become the first subcontractor on the Victorian government’s Big Build program to publicly outline alleged rorts impacting the project in Melbourne’s north-eastern suburbs.

And McKenzie has questioned what the state government is doing with the allegations and where IBAC is in the whole situation.

“Who’s going to actually formally inquire and hold people to account? At the moment, we hold our breaths,” McKenzie told Ross and Russ.

“It’s not good enough for the government to simply say bad things are bad.”
