Nick McKenzie reveals new information on CFMEU corruption allegations

A labour-hire executive admitted paying Mick Gatto an annual retainer to allow access to major construction sites in Victoria.

The Age investigative journalist Nick McKenzie told 3AW Breakfast hosts Ross Stevenson and Russel Howcroft it was no small thing for someone to speak out against Gatto.

“He is not the only person by a long shot who has paid Gatto millions of bucks, but he’s one of the first people to come out and say ‘I did it, this is why I did it and I regret it’,” he said.
