Nine Australian men have been arrested in Malaysia for allegedly stripping down to their underwear at the Malaysian Grand Prix.

The group are facing very serious charges and will spend at least four nights in jail. They are then expected to be deported.

The men are believed to be politically ‘well-connected’; one has been confirmed as an adviser to Federal front-bencher Christopher Pyne.

Neil Mitchell blasted the senior government adviser for acting like a ‘yobbo’.

‘The Malaysians will not like it, and nor should they,’ Neil said.

‘They’ll see it as some sort of government slight.’

Neil said it shows there is no class barrier to being a ‘bogan idiot’.

Ross and John spoke with Fairfax’s Malaysian Correspondent, Lindsay Murdoch.

‘They bounced around for several minutes in their underpants, then wrapped themselves in the Australian flag chanting ‘Aussie Aussie Aussie, oi oi oi’,’ Mr Murdoch said.
