‘No answers’: Major bank bungle leaves a young couple $90k out of pocket

A young couple who transferred $90,000 for a land settlement want answers, after the Commonwealth Bank lost their money.

Ellie Houston and her partner saved for four years for the land at Yarrawonga and in order to carry out the transfer, moved funds between accounts at the Bank of Melbourne and the CBA, before making the grim discovery.

“We’ve just got no answers,” Ms Houston told Neil Mitchell.
