‘No hesitation’: Former coach backs Bendigo-raised NBA rookie to succeed

A former coach of Australia’s newest NBA talent says he has “no hesitation” in saying he’ll be a success in the world’s biggest basketball league.

Bendigo’s Dyson Daniels was drafted by the New Orleans Pelicans with the eighth pick of the NBA Draft.

His former coach at the Bendigo Braves, Ben McCauley, told Dee Dee Dunleavy it was reward for hard work.

“I have no hesitation in saying Dys will succeed,” he said.
