‘No one is laughing’: The Jaclyn Symes comment which left Jacqui Felgate ‘staggered’

Jacqui Felgete has called out a “tone deaf” comment made by state treasurer Jaclyn Symes at a property conference.

Ms Symes jokingly asked the audience what their favourite tax is, sparking outrage in the hours after the event concluded.

The 3AW Drive host was left staggered by the treasurer’s comments, which came just weeks after she handed down the state’s budget.
