North Richmond drug injecting facility getting ‘really positive’ feedback
The medical director of the supervised North Richmond drug injecting facility says it is working well since its controversial opening.
The centre has been open two months.
It has seen 8000 visits in that time, with 140 overdoses.
Just 1 per cent of patients have used ice.
Nico Clark told Tom Elliott it was so far, so good.
“The feedback we get is that there is less public injecting, less needles in the immediate vicinity … the initial signs are really positive,” he said.
