North Richmond resident’s car allegedly stolen and found in Melton
A North Richmond resident has told Tom Elliott her car was stolen this morning and found smashed up more than 40 kilometres away.
Sheila, who lives in York Street, told Tom Elliott she woke up this morning to glass all over the ground outside her house.
“My car, (a 1996 Honda Accord) was stolen this morning, I live very close to the injecting room,” she said.
“The police were very good, I got a call from them saying they’d found it in Melton.
“He smashed the back window to get in, and ‘hot-wired’ it I think is the expression, and broke all the steering column.”
