NSW backflips on greyhound racing ban

The NSW has backflipped on its controversial greyhound racing ban.

And it’s left Animals Australia fuming.

The NSW Government passed legislation in August but cabinet reversed its decision on Tuesday.

Shatha Hamade, legal counsel for Animals Australia, told Neil Mitchell it was a dark day in Australia’s political history.

‘Today well and truly marks a low day in Australian politics,’ she said on 3AW Mornings.

‘This decision had a basis in not being about political point-scoring in the first place.

‘It was about what was right and what was wrong.’
